Man United contact Chelsea FC star’s agent about potential transfer – report
Manchester United have made contact with N'Golo Kante's agent about a potential move from Chelsea FC, according to a report
Manchester United have attempted to sound out N’Golo Kante’s representatives about a potential switch to Old Trafford, according to a report in England.
Website CaughtOffside, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Manchester United have made an audacious approach to the Chelsea FC star’s entourage about a transfer.
The same article states that it is unclear whether the World Cup winner is looking to secure a move away from the west London side ahead of the January transfer window.
According to the same story, Manchester United have made the 27-year-old a “top target” for 2019 as Jose Mourinho looks to improve his options in the middle of the park.
Kante has been played out of position in the Chelsea FC team since Maurizio Sarri took over the reins from Antonio Conte in the summer.
Sarri recruited Italy international Jorginho in a £57m deal from Napoli in the summer and the Brazilian-born star has made the holding position his own in the Chelsea FC team.
As a result, Kante has been pushed further forward in an unorthodox role for the Premier League’s top defensive midfielder.
The France star appears to be pretty content at Stamford Bridge despite his positional change after a return of one goal and one assist in 12 games in the Premier League.
Chelsea FC signed Kante in a £34m deal from Leicester City in the 2016 summer transfer window before the Blues went on to win the 2016-17 title.
