The Gunners came out on top in a thrilling north London derby clash at The Emirates as Unai Emery’s men came from behind to claim the three points.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang had set the Gunners on their way with the opener from the penalty spot in the 10th minute, but goals from Eric Dier and Harry Kane put Tottenham 2-1 up.
Aubameyang then made it 2-2 shortly after the break, before goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Torreira wrapped up the three points for the Gunners.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ commentary of the game after picking Torreira as his man of the match, Neville said: “Without a shadow of a doubt, Torreira the terrier [is the man of the match].
“He scored a goal as well. He was absolutely brilliant and set the tone for everything Arsenal have done.”
Torreira has been in fine form for Arsenal since his arrival at the club from Sampdoria in the summer transfer window.
He has now scored one goal and made one assist in 14 Premier League games for the north London side so far this season.
Sunday’s win lifted Arsenal above their north London rivals and into fourth place in the table, leaving them eight points behind leaders Manchester City.
Arsenal’s next Premier League test is a trip to Manchester United on Wednesday night.
