Keita produced some classy moments in midfield and the 23-year-old was unfortunate not to break the deadlock when Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart made a wonderful save to deny the summer signing his first Liverpool FC goal.

Burnley scored the game’s first goal shortly after thanks to Jack Cork’s goal as Liverpool FC conceded for the sixth time this season.

However, James Milner levelled in the 62nd minute before substitute Roberto Firmino edged Liverpool FC into a narrow 2-1 lead.

Alisson Becker produced a world-class save in added time before the Reds went down the other end and Xherdan Shaqiri sealed a 3-1 win.

While Liverpool FC’s number one goalkeeper had some big moments in the 3-1 win, former Reds midfielder Garcia selected Keita as his man of the match on Wednesday night.

Garcia wrote on Twitter: “My MOTM is Keita. Brilliant, creative, work !! So much talent. Great to have him back !!”

His former team-mate John Arne Riise was also pleased with Keita’s display in the 3-1 win.

Riise posted on social media: “Keita.. what a player!!!! He will be so important for us”

Keita has made 11 appearances for Liverpool FC this season since his £48m move from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.
