Mateo Kovacic believes Eden Hazard has the talent to easily become one of the best players in the world at Chelsea FC.

The Belgium international is Chelsea FC’s leading goal-scorer in the Premier League this season after Hazard hit the ground running under new Blues manager Maurizio Sarri.

Hazard netted seven times in eight games before the 27-year-old suffered a minor injury during Chelsea FC’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea FC star is the leading assist maker in the Premier League, having created nine goals for his Blues team-mates.

The number 10 has netted eight goals and has made nine assists in 17 games in the Premier League to highlight his continued importance to Chelsea FC despite the change of management in the summer.

Croatia star Kovacic spoke in glowing terms about Hazard after the Belgian forward’s brilliant start to the Premier League campaign.

“For me, he is an incredible player,” Kovacic is quoted as saying by Metro.

“I did not know he was that good and he can easily be one of the two or three best players in the world. ‘He asked me how it was there (at Real) but we are looking forward to having a great season together, to be fully concentrated on Chelsea.

“He is focused a lot on doing great things with Chelsea.”

Kovacic moved to Chelsea FC from Real Madrid on a season long loan in the 2018 summer transfer window.

The Croatian midfielder has become an important member of Sarri’s team since his move from Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old has made one assist in 16 games in the English top flight.

Chelsea FC booked their place in the Europa League round of 32 after qualifying from the group stage – and they will take on Malmo in the last 32.
