Pedro has urged Chelsea FC to catch Liverpool FC and Manchester City in the title race.

The Spain international was part of the Chelsea FC team that secured a 2-0 win against Manchester City in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

N’Golo Kante broke the deadlock in the first half to open his account for the season before David Luiz’s angled header sealed a 2-0 victory.

Chelsea FC moved to within seven points of the defending Premier League champions, although Liverpool FC are a point ahead of Manchester City.

The west London side are in fourth spot after Tottenham Hotspur won back-to-back Premier League games since their 4-2 loss to Arsenal in the north London derby at the start of the month.

Pedro is optimistic that Maurizio Sarri’s side can put a run together and challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title this term.

“Every game is difficult but for us it was very important to get the win [against City] and recover our best feeling inside the pitch and to now continue in this way,” Pedro told Chelsea FC’s website.

“I think this month is very important for us because there are a lot of points to play for so we have to try to reach Liverpool and City.

“All competitions are difficult but the most important thing is to take it step by step, game by game, and recover this feeling and motivation on the pitch.”

He concluded: “When all the team do their job, it’s so difficult to beat us.”

Chelsea FC were unbeaten in the Premier League before a 3-1 loss to Tottenham at Wembley last month.

The Blues went on to lose 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers last week to lose for the second time this season.

Sarri’s side will be hoping to rebuild their early season momentum when Chelsea FC take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.
