The Blues were initially talked up as Manchester City’s title rivals after going unbeaten in their opening 12 games of the Premier League season.
However, Chelsea FC lost 3-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley before Maurizio Sarri’s side were 2-0 winners against Fulham in Sunday’s west London derby.
The Blues eased to a 1-0 lead at Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium in mid-week thanks to Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s second goal in successive games.
However, Wolves overturned the deficit to secure a 2-1 win courtesy of second-half goals from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota.
Chelsea FC are in fourth spot in the Premier League table and 10 points behind leaders Manchester City.
The Citizens sealed a 2-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night to extend their winning run to 11 games.
Former Manchester United striker Owen is backing Chelsea FC to hold Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
“Chelsea have lost two of their last three and only mustered seven shots in the two league games – both won by City – between the sides last season,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Chelsea are a different proposition under Maurizio Sarri, especially at the Bridge, this season and I feel they can keep a point.
“City were far too good for the Blues in the Community Shield in the season curtain-raiser but, back on home soil, I feel Chelsea will get a draw from a 1-1 draw as they did against Liverpool earlier in the season.”
Liverpool FC will take on Bournemouth on Saturday to present the Reds with the chance to hoist themselves to the top of the table before City’s trip to Chelsea FC.
However, Manchester City will reclaim top spot if they leave Chelsea FC with at least a point.
