Chelsea FC are confident of securing a deal to sign Callum Wilson from Bournemouth in the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Daily Express is claiming that the Blues are hoping to tie up the signing of the 26-year-old striker when the January transfer window opens in the new year.

The same report says that Maurizio Sarri is eager to bring in attacking reinforcements to offer a different option to Olivier Giroud up front for the Blues in the second half of the season.

The same article claims that the Chelsea FC board are “confident” of being able to get a deal over the line to sign Wilson in January.

According to the same story, Chelsea FC are willing to pay as much as £30m to land Wilson in the January transfer window.

Wilson has been in solid form for Bournemouth this season, scoring eight goals and making five assists in 15 Premier League appearances so far.

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their trip to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Sarri has been tasked with steering Chelsea FC back into the Champions League spots after they finished in fifth place in the table last season under Antonio Conte.
