Eden Hazard delivers fresh update on his Chelsea FC situation
Eden Hazard opens up about his future at Chelsea FC amid talk of a move to Real Madrid
Eden Hazard has hinted that he would consider a transfer to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC in the summer.
The 27-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge has been a source of speculation in recent months after he entered into the final two years of his contract at Chelsea FC.
Hazard’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season and he has long been touted as a possible target for Real Madrid.
Chelsea FC are understandably keen to get Hazard to commit to a new contract, but the playmaker is yet to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
That could mean that Chelsea FC may consider selling Hazard next summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer the following year.
Now, Hazard has delivered the latest update about his situation at Stamford Bridge, and despite insisting that he is happy at Chelsea FC, his comments have left the door open for a potential move away.
Speaking in an interview with RMC Sport, as quoted by the Daily Express, Hazard said: “The new coach [Sarri] thinks football like me, so we’ll see, the family is in London, I’m also going to be 28.
“I do not want to have any regrets at the end of my it’s a decision I’m going to make, I do not know when, but I’ll take it.”
He continued: “Me, you know me, I’ve always loved Real, even before [Zinedine] Zidane, we’ll see what happens,
“As I said, I’m already finishing this year with Chelsea, I still have a year of contract after this year, we’ll see.”
Hazard has been in top form for Chelsea FC this season, scoring seven goals and making eight assists in 15 Premier League games for the Blues.
