Spanish outlet Marca is reporting that the 31-year-old midfielder is keen to seal a move away from Stamford Bridge after he dropped down the pecking order following the appointment of Maurizio Sarri.
Fabregas has found his first-team opportunities at Chelsea FC to be severely restricted this season since Sarri’s appointment as Antonio Conte’s successor back in July.
The midfielder has only started one Premier League game and he has only notched up two assists in Europa League so far.
Fabregas’ current contract at Chelsea FC is set to expire in the summer, and that means that he is free to negotiate with foreign clubs from 1 January.
According to the same story, Fabregas could leave Chelsea FC in the January transfer window rather than the summer, as that would allow the Blues to bring in a small fee rather than lose him for free at the end of his contract.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are preparing to return to action in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon when they take on Crystal Palace, as they focus on finishing in the top four in the top flight.
