Maurizio Sarri wants to sign 23-year-old for Chelsea FC – report
Chelsea FC are keen on a move to sign Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven, according to reports
Maurizio Sarri wants Chelsea FC to sign Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian outlet Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Blues are keen on a move to bring the 23-year-old Mexican to Stamford Bridge as Sarri looks to strengthen his attacking options at the west London club.
The same story says that Chelsea FC are “desperate” to bolster their attacking options and that Lozano has been identified as a top target.
Indeed, the article also claims that Lozano is one of new Chelsea FC boss Sarri’s top targets ahead of the January transfer window.
According to the same report, however, Chelsea FC could face competition for the signature of the Mexico international from Serie A giants AC Milan.
Lozano has been in fine form this season, scoring 11 goals and making six assists in 17 league games for PSV.
The same article says that the arrival of Lozano could allow Eden Hazard to play down the middle more regularly – but it also states that the Blues are still likely to sign a new striker as well.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday lunchtime.
The Blues are aiming to keep their place in the top four heading into the new year as they target Champions League qualification.
