Kante’s form has been something of a source of debate in recent months after the midfielder was deployed in a more advanced role by Maurizio Sarri.
The midfielder was once again deployed in the starting line-up alongside summer signing Jorginho as Chelsea FC hosted Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Pedro Rodriguez gave the home side the lead in the fourth minute after Kante dispossessed Jean Michael Seri in midfield.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek then made it 2-0 to the home side when he scored in the 82nd minute at Stamford Bridge.
And former England star Lineker was quick to praise Kante for the effect he had in helping Chelsea FC to conjure the opener on Sunday afternoon.
Lineker wrote on Twitter after Chelsea FC took the lead: “Chelsea one up at halftime after Kanté did to Ranieri what Kanté did for Ranieri so frequently.”
Kante has now scored one goal and made two assists in 14 Premier League games for Chelsea FC so far this season.
Lineker also saluted Loftus-Cheek as he netted second Premier League goal of the season.
Lineker added on Twitter: “Beautiful bit of football between Hazard and the ever improving Loftus-Cheek.”
Chelsea FC will now turn their attentions towards preparing for their Premier League clash against Wolves on Wednesday night.
The west London side are aiming to at least break back into the top four this season after they finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last term.
