Eden Hazard takes to social media to celebrate Chelsea FC's 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League

Eden Hazard took to social media to thank Chelsea FC fans for their support after the Blues became the first team to beat Manchester City in the Premier League this season.

The Belgian playmaker laid on the assist for N’Golo Kante’s opener at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night as the Blues secured a 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola’s side in west London.

David Luiz netted a header from a corner in the second half as Maurizio Sarri’s men dealt a blow to Manchester City’s hopes of retaining the title this term.

The result left Chelsea FC in fourth place in the Premier League table and eight points behind new leaders Liverpool FC as the hectic festive period looms large.

And the 27-year-old took to social media to send a special message to Chelsea FC fans after the victory over Guardiola’s side.

Hazard posted the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Tough week, great day. Could’ve not done it without your support at the Bridge, well played everyone 💪🏼😉”

Chelsea FC now switch their attentions towards their Europa League clash against Vidi on Thursday night.

They will then return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Sarri has been tasked with steering the Blues back into the top four this season after they finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last term.
