What Liverpool FC owner’s wife had to say about 5-1 win over Arsenal
The Liverpool FC owner's wife, Linda Pizzuti Henry, took to Twitter minutes after their 5-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday evening
Linda Pizzuti Henry, the wife of Liverpool FC owner John W Henry, took to Twitter to rave about the Reds’ “magical” performance as she struggled to contain her delight at a 5-1 win against Arsenal on Saturday evening.
Unai Emery’s side made the breakthrough in the 11th minute against the run of play when Ashley Maitland-Niles managed to steer a finish past Alisson Becker.
Liverpool FC bounced back from the early setback through Roberto Firmino when the Brazilian forward managed to seize upon the loose ball after a string of defensive errors from the Arsenal defence.
Firmino scored his second goal of the game when the 27-year-old managed to evade two challenges before the former Hoffenheim star placed his strike into the net.
Sadio Mane extended the home side’s lead when he managed to cushion his finish into the roof of the net after Mohamed Salah’s pinpoint cross found his strike partner.
Salah got on the score-sheet with a powerful penalty at the end of the first half before Firmino completed his hat-trick with a spot-kick goal to complete the rout.
Pizzuti is a regular on Twitter during Liverpool FC games as she continues to enjoy watching John W Henry’s team challenge for a first Premier League title in the 2018-19 season.
And the managing director of the Boston Globe took to social media to react to Saturday evening’s impressive win.
Pizzuti wrote on Twitter: “The magic continues for Liverpool this season. Undefeated and holding firm at the top of the table after 20 matches. So, so exciting. #lfc”
Liverpool FC take on Manchester City in their next Premier League game at The Etihad on Thursday 3 January.
The Reds drew 0-0 with the defending champions at Anfield earlier this season after Riyad Mahrez missed a late penalty.
