The Reds will start the final round of Premier League fixtures in 2018 with a six point lead at the top of the table.
Liverpool FC were 4-0 winners against Newcastle United at Anfield on Boxing Day to further extend their lead over defending champions Manchester City.
The Merseyside outfit have won their last six Premier League games thanks to victories over Everton, Burnley, Bournemouth, Manchester United, Wolves and Newcastle.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are in fifth position and two points adrift fourth-placed Chelsea FC after the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw at Brighton on Wednesday night.
The north London side saw their unbeaten run come to an end at Southampton earlier this month after the Saints were 2-1 winners against Arsenal at St Mary’s.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Jurgen Klopp’s men to ease to victory over Arsenal in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday evening.
“Liverpool are only the fourth side in the history of the Premier League to remain unbeaten in the first half of the season and they can maintain that sequence when Arsenal visit Anfield on Saturday evening,” Owen told BetVictor.
“The Reds have scored 17 times in their last five home games (at least two in each match) against Arsenal and I was disappointed with the second half display of the Gunners at Brighton on Boxing Day.”
Liverpool FC were held to a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at The Emirates back in November.
However, the Reds have an excellent record against Arsenal at Anfield since Klopp took charge of Liverpool FC.
Klopp’s side were 4-0 winners in this fixture back in August 2017.
