The Reds have made an encouraging start to the Premier League campaign after going 13 games unbeaten to suggest a title challenge is a realistic target.
Liverpool FC were 3-0 winners against Watford last weekend thanks to goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino at Vicarage Road.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have managed to keep eight clean sheets thanks to the performances of Alisson and his defensive team-mates Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson and Alexander-Arnold.
Everton, on the other hand, have won four of their last six Premier League games to hoist themselves above Manchester United over the past month or so.
Alisson’s compatriot Richarlison has netted six times in 11 games and the Brazilian winger will be Everton’s danger man at Anfield on Sunday.
The Liverpool FC number one is optimistic that the Reds can continue their momentum in the Premier League despite what promises to be a testing derby clash.
“Derbies are always a huge moment for everybody,” Alisson told the Evening Standard.
“We want to keep going with our work. We have a good record [this season] so I’m looking forward to this match.”
Liverpool FC signed Alisson in a £67m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2018 summer transfer window to replace Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.
The Brazil international has only conceded goals against Arsenal, Chelsea FC, Manchester City, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur this term.
