Liverpool FC are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports
Liverpool FC are in talks to try and sign Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in France.
French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Reds are one of several top clubs monitoring Rabiot’s situation, as his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
The same report says that both Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona are “in contact” with PSG about Rabiot as the January transfer window draws nearer.
According to the same story, PSG want Rabiot to sign a new contract, and are “desperate” that he does not join FC Barcelona.
If Rabiot chooses to run down his contract and say at PSG beyond January, he could be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
It is claimed in the same article that the 23-year-old is unhappy about his current wages in comparison to some of the high fliers in the PSG squad.
Rabiot has scored two goals and made one assist in 14 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are now preparing for their crunch Champions League clash against Napoli on Tuesday night.
The Reds, who were 4-0 winners at Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, are aiming to book their place in the last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition.
