The Sun, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Liverpool FC will make the United States international their first signing of the January transfer window.
The same article states that the Merseyside outfit are set to make an offer of £45m, which is just £5m short of Borussia Dortmund’s valuation of one of their prized assets.
According to the same story, Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that he can complete a deal to sign Pulisic to bolster his attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.
Metro go on to claim that Arsenal made an offer to sign Pulisic but Borussia Dortmund have rejected the north London side’s bid for the American playmaker.
The article seemingly contradicts some recent reports which suggested that Chelsea FC are, in fact, winning the race for Pulisic.
Pulisic has little over 18 months left to run on his current deal at Borussia Dortmund and the talented midfielder hasn’t put pen to paper on a contract extension.
Liverpool FC have managed to put together a team capable of launching a title challenge this season following the additions of Fabinho, Alisson Becker, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer transfer window.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table on the past two seasons.
