Liverpool FC linked with move to sign FC Barcelona attacker – report
Liverpool FC are interested in signing Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona, according to reports
Liverpool FC are among the clubs considering a move to sign Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet El Confidencial, as reported by the Daily Star, is claiming that Liverpool FC could sign Dembele next summer – so long as they match the Spanish club’s significant asking price.
The same story credits Arsenal with an interest in the 21-year-old France international, who has seemingly struggled to adapt to life at FC Barcelona since his move from Borussia Dortmund last year.
However, the same article claims that Liverpool FC’s interest in signing Dembele appears to be “more genuine” than the Gunners’.
It is claimed in the same story that any offer to try and prise Dembele away from FC Barcelona will have to meet the Spanish club’s significant asking price for the forward.
Although an exact figure is not mentioned in the story, it is likely to be a large fee, given that FC Barcelona are thought to have paid in the region of £97m to sign Dembele from Dortmund.
The 21-year-old Dembele has scored six goals and made three assists in 14 La Liga appearances for FC Barcelona this season.
Liverpool FC are likely to be linked with a number of players as the January transfer window draws nearer and gives Jurgen Klopp the chance to bolster his squad.
