The Red Devils came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford on Wednesday night thanks to goals from Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.
Manchester United have failed to win their last three Premier League games to lose ground on their top-four rivals Arsenal, Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 20-time English champions slumped to a 3-1 loss to Manchester City at The Etihad last month to underline the distance between the two teams before a 0-0 stalemate with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Manchester United were held to a 2-2 stalemate with Southampton last weekend before Arsenal left Old Trafford with a point after the four-goal thriller.
Jose Mourinho’s side will take on 20th placed Fulham in what should be a relatively straightforward fixture for the Red Devils.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is tipping Manchester United to win their first Premier League game in five attempts at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
“I am covering this game for BBC Radio 5 live and wondering whether there will be anything different about Manchester United this time,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport. “At the moment it is the same story every week.
“United have a few issues with their manager and with different areas of their team but the bottom line is that they just cannot seem to win a game – Wednesday’s draw with Arsenal was their fourth league game in a row without a victory.
“Surely that has to change at home to the Premier League’s bottom club, even taking into consideration that Fulham have improved under Claudio Ranieri.
“Things have been pretty bad at Old Trafford for a while, but anything but a win would really underline where United are at the moment, and how far they are off the top four.”
Manchester United have eased to victories in 21 of their 23 home matches against Fulham in all competitions.
Mourinho is looking to secure a 50th Premier League win as Man United manager in his 92nd game.
