The Red Devils notched up back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since the start of November after Manchester United were 3-1 winners against Huddersfield on Boxing Day.
Manchester United beat Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town in their festive Premier League games before downing Bournemouth in their final league game of 2018.
They made it three wins in a row under their new boss as they sealed a dominant 4-1 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon to head into the new year on a high.
And former Manchester United captain Giggs singled out three of Solskjaer’s players for praise after their 3-1 win against Huddersfield on Boxing Day.
“Ole’s first home game, and the positivity that came from Cardiff game the performance and result everyone was looking forward to it,” Giggs told MUTV, as quoted by Daily Express.
“The big players are turning up, Pogba with the goals, David [De Gea] with a great save and Marcus [Rashford] getting better and better each game.
“There’s a real positivity around the game and we need that to carry on.”
The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge.
They will take on Newcastle United away from home on Wednesday evening as they look to continue their recent mini up-turn in form.
