The Red Devils returned to winning ways in the Premier League in front of their home fans following their 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the top flight last week.
Ashley Young set the Red Devils on their way to victory with the opener in the 13th minute, before goals from Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku made it 3-0 before half-time.
Aboubakar Kamara netted from the penalty spot in the 67th minute just before Fulham were reduced to 10 men following Zambo Anguissa’s red card.
And Rashford then made it 4-1 to the hosts when he scored in the 82nd minute after firing home from just outside the box.
The result was the Red Devils’ biggest win of the season and it lifted Manchester United up into sixth place in the Premier League table.
And England legend Lineker was clearly delighted to see Rashford play a key part in helping the Red Devils claim all three points on Saturday at Old Trafford.
After Rashford’s goal, Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Very imaginative goal from @MarcusRashford after another excellent display.”
Manchester United will now turn their attentions towards their Premier League clash against Valencia in Spain on Wednesday night.
