The Red Devils are currently getting used to life after Jose Mourinho following the Portuguese coach’s sacking last week.
Manchester United have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the club’s interim boss until the end of the season and the Red Devils claimed a thumping 5-1 win over Cardiff City in his first game in charge over the weekend.
The Red Devils will now host Huddersfield in their first home game since Mourinho’s sacking last week.
And former Red Devils striker Owen is fully expecting Manchester United to claim all three points when they host Huddersfield on Wednesday.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Pace, flair, energy, commitment – what a transformation in the United side at Cardiff on Saturday.
“The Old Trafford faithful will have a smile back on their faces and will be looking forward to the visit of a Huddersfield side who did find the back of the net against Southampton at the weekend but were still well beaten.
“It is far too early to suggest that the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will bring a return to the glory days at Old Trafford and there will be much tougher assignments to come. That said it was an exciting start.”
Manchester United will still harbour hopes of breaking back into the top four before the season is out despite their stuttering recent form.
The Red Devils currently find themselves in sixth place in the table and eight points behind fourth-placed Chelsea FC.
Manchester United ended last season without a trophy under Mourinho but they did reach the FA Cup final and finish second in the table.
