The Wales international has little over six months left to run on his current deal with the north London outfit to raise questions about his long-term future at The Emirates.
Arsenal withdrew a contract offer for the 27-year-old and Ramsey will be a free agent at the end of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Ramsey has been regularly linked with a move to one of Arsenal’s Premier League rivals amid talk of interest from Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC and Manchester City.
The Welsh midfielder has also been touted as a potential target for Serie A giants Juventus, who previously had another Welshman on their books in the shape of Ian Rush.
Emery has started Ramsey in nine Premier League games this season, while the former Cardiff midfielder has been a substitute a further seven times.
Asked about Ramsey’s future during his media conference at the weekend, Emery said:
“The most important thing for every player is for the focus to be here.
“It is not easy for Aaron but I have spoken with him and we need his performances for us.
“He played yesterday with a good spirit. We did not win but he is working hard and I am happy.
“I also need this focus for Liverpool on Saturday and then for Fulham. His focus should be to help us.”
Ramsey moved to Arsenal in a £10m deal from Cardiff in 2006 after the Wales international opted to move to the Gunners rather than Manchester United.
The Wales star has won three FA Cup titles during his spell at the north London side, although the Gunners haven’t come close to winning the title.
