Arsenal are being linked with a move to sign Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals, according to reports
Arsenal and West Ham United are interested in signing Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Spanish outlet Sport, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that both of the Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old midfielder.
The same story says that Fornals is “on the agenda” of both Arsenal and West Ham United ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
It is also claimed in the same report that the midfielder is thought to have a buyout clause of around £28.5m in his contract with the Spanish side.
Fornals has been a regular fixture in the Villarreal team so far this season and has scored one goal and made two assists in 21 La Liga games for the club.
He has also scored two goals and made two assists in six Europa League appearances.
Arsenal are yet to announce any new signings this month as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the end of the January transfer window.
The north London side will return to Premier League action on Tuesday night when they host Cardiff City at The Emirates.
They were knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester United on Friday night following a 3-1 defeat in north London.
