Chelsea FC launch improved bid for Argentina midfielder – report
Chelsea FC are ready to offer £36m for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes, according to a report
Chelsea FC are ready to improve their offer for Zenit Saint Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes, according to a report in England.
The Daily Star is reporting that the Blues have already made two offers of £26.8m and £31.2m for the Argentina international in the current transfer window.
The same article states that Chelsea FC are prepared to increase their bid to £36m in order to secure the central midfielder’s signature in January.
According to the same story, the west London side have been priced out of a potential deal to sign Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.
Reports on Tuesday suggested that Chelsea FC had already agreed personal terms with Paredes to edge a step closer to their second signing of the January transfer window.
The Blues spent £58m to secure the signing of Christian Pulisic before sending the United States international back to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the season.
Chelsea FC sanctioned the sale of experienced Premier League midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco last week to leave Maurizio Sarri short on options in the middle of the park.
The Blues will make the short trip to Arsenal in their next Premier League clash at The Emirates on Saturday evening as Chelsea FC look to extend their lead over Unai Emery’s men.
