Chelsea FC lining up £50m bid to sign PSG attacker – report
Chelsea FC are getting ready to make a bid to try and sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, according to reports
Chelsea FC are preparing a £50m bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Blues are keen on a move for the Uruguay forward as Maurizio Sarri looks to solve his “goal-scoring problems” at Stamford Bridge.
According to the same report, Sarri is ready to “remodel” his Chelsea FC squad in the coming two transfer windows and the Italian is said to be an admirer of Cavani.
The same article says that Sarri has “lost faith” in the attackers currently available to him at Stamford Bridge and is now looking to make some reinforcements.
However, the story also suggests that Chelsea FC could be set to face competition from China for Cavani’s signature.
Cavani, 31, has scored 10 goals and made one assist in 11 Ligue 1 games for PSG so far this season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently gearing up for the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham on Tuesday night at Wembley.
The Blues booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday when they sealed a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in front of their home fans.
