The France international is currently on a season-long loan deal with the Italian club after having been deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge for this campaign.
The 24-year-old midfielder has made a total of 14 Serie A appearances for AC Milan so far this season, although he has only started nine of those games.
AC Milan are believed to have the option to sign Bakayoko on a permanent deal at the end of his loan spell with the Italian club.
And the midfielder has now delivered an update about his future at the club.
In an interview with MilanNews.it, as quoted by the Daily Mail, Bakayoko said over the weekend: “I don’t think anything special has changed.
“I’ve carried on training and working hard, and when you do that things change.
“I’m happy because I’m playing well with the team. The future? I’m happy here but it’s not my decision, it’s Milan and Chelsea’s. We’ll talk at the end of the season to see what we can do.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently focusing on finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season in Maurizio Sarri’s first campaign in charge.
They are currently fourth in the Premier League table as they prepare for their home clash against Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night in their first game of 2019.
