Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb (TMW), as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that Kessie is attracting interest from the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Kessie could become available if AC Milan fail to finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League competition.
According to the same story, the Ivory Coast international would command a transfer fee in the region of £36m after moving to AC Milan on a two-year loan in the 2017 summer transfer window.
AC Milan will sign Kessie on a permanent deal as part of their arrangement with his parent club Atalanta at the end of the current campaign, but the African could look to avoid signing for the San Siro side should the European giants miss out on Champions League football.
The reports suggests that Chelsea FC and Tottenham could be frontrunners to sign Kessie, with Spurs thought to be in a stronger position to land Kessie given the west London side are in second place.
Kessie has scored eight goals in 75 games in one-and-a-half seasons at AC Milan.
