Agent rules out 23-year-old linked with Chelsea FC moving in January
Super agent Mino Raiola rules out the prospect of reported Chelsea FC target Hirving Lozano leaving PSV in the January transfer window
Hirving Lozano will not leave PSV Eindhoven in the January transfer window, according to the Mexico international’s agent Mino Raiola.
The PSV forward has been linked with a move to Chelsea FC over the past few days as Maurizio Sarri looks to improve his squad this month.
Lozano would be a potential addition of bringing more firepower to the Blues team given the well-documented struggles of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata.
The 23-year-old has scored 11 goals and made six assists in 17 league games in the current campaign to establish himself as one of the Europe’s top forwards.
Lozano has four-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal with PSV after the Mexican attacker moved to the Eredivisie side from Pachuca in 2017.
However, outspoken super agent Raiola has ruled out Lozano leaving PSV in the January transfer window despite talk of a potential bid from Chelsea FC.
Belgian reporter Kristof Terreur quoted Raiola as saying on his Twitter page:
“Mino Raiola: ‘Lozano will stay at PSV until the end of the season. The club don’t want to sell him now.'”
Terreur added himself in the same tweet: “Key: has Raiola done any business with #CFC recently?”
Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season but Sarri is on course to lead the west London side back into the Champions League spots this term.
The Blues beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in the FA Cup third round on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea FC will make the short trip to Wembley to take on Tottenham in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.
