Callum Hudson-Odoi to reject Chelsea FC deal in pursuit of Bayern move – report
The Chelsea FC teenager will turn down a new Blues deal in the hope of securing a move to Bayern Munich, according to a report in England
Callum Hudson-Odoi is prepared to turn down a new Chelsea FC contract in favour of a move to Bayern Munich, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Hudson-Odoi is prepared to allow his current deal to expire at the end of the 2018-19 season in order to secure a move to the German champions.
The same article states that Bayern are prepared to spend £35m on the 18-year-old English forward despite his lack of experience at the top level.
According to the same story, Hudson-Odoi would be in a position to sign a pre-contract agreement with Bayern next January, with view to a move in the 2020 summer transfer window.
If such a deal was to happen, Bayern would have to pay compensation of around £500,000 for the teenager, rather than the £35m fee, according to the report.
Hudson-Odoi has made six appearances in all competitions this season under Maurizio Sarri but the Daily Mail claims that the teenager is unhappy at a lack of first-team opportunities.
The England Under-19 international scored his first Chelsea FC goal in a 4-0 win over PAOK in the Europa League last year.
Chelsea FC have already signed United States international Christian Pulisic in a £58m deal this month before loaning the playmaker back to Borussia Dortmund.
