The Liverpool FC striker opens up about his six seasons at the Anfield outfit

Daniel Sturridge dedicated an Instagram post to Liverpool FC supporters to celebrate six seasons at the Anfield side.

The England international moved to Liverpool FC from Chelsea FC in the 2013 January transfer window in a £12m deal to bolster Brendan Rodgers’ attacking options.

Sturridge scored 21 times in 28 games in his first full season at Anfield to help Liverpool FC challenge for the Premier League title before finishing behind Manchester City.

The 29-year-old hasn’t won silverware at Liverpool FC despite the Reds reaching the League Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League finals since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins in 2015.

Sturridge has scored two goals in 10 games in the Premier League this season, including a sensational equaliser in a 1-1 draw with his former club Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge back in October.

The Liverpool FC striker has been forced to settle for a role from the bench in the current campaign given the form of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Sturridge sent a message to Liverpool FC supporters about his sixth anniversary on social media.

The Liverpool FC star wrote on Instagram: “A huge honor to have played for @liverpoolfc for 6 years. Through the ups and downs, wins and losses the fans have shown love. Much love from me to you. As a token of my appreciation Im gonna do a giveaway in the next couple days 🙌🏾❤️ P.s my tongue is always out when I celebrate 🤭😝🤦🏾‍♂️🕺🏾. #ynwa #redordead #ds15”

The Reds are sitting at the top of the Premier League table as Liverpool FC look to win the English top-flight crown for the first time since 1990.
