The Liverpool FC legend is backing the Reds to win their first Premier League title this season
Danny Murphy has finally backed Liverpool FC to win the Premier League title this season.
The Reds were 4-3 winners against Crystal Palace at Anfield last weekend to secure back-to-back Premier League victories.
Goals from Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane helped Liverpool FC to come from behind to secure three points.
There was an element of good fortunate in all four of Liverpool FC’s goals as Klopp’s men cemented their lead at the top of the table.
The Reds are four points ahead of defending champions Manchester City and have already gotten difficult fixtures at The Emirates, Wembley, The Etihad and Stamford Bridge out of the way.
Klopp’s men were afforded an extend break ahead of their return to Premier League action with a home clash against Leicester after their third-round FA Cup defeat by Wolves earlier this month.
Former Liverpool FC captain Murphy admitted the amount of good luck that Klopp’s men have been receiving this term has convinced the BBC Sport pundit that this will be the Merseyside outfit’s season.
“I’ve completely gone in now,” Murphy told BBC Sport.
“I believe they can do it. Things are going Liverpool FC’s way. They’ve only get Spurs and Chelsea at home, Man United and Everton away. They are the tricky ones.
“I think with Liverpool and Man City’s fixtures, Liverpool are strong favourites.”
Liverpool FC are looking to win the Premier League title for the first time this season after previously missing out on the top flight crown.
Gerard Houllier, Rafael Benitez and Brendan Rodgers have all led Liverpool FC to the cusp of glory, only to fall short and finish in second place.
Klopp has experience of winning league titles after his Borussia Dortmund side won two Bundesliga crowns in 2011 and 2012.
