PSG midfielder rejects Tottenham as he eyes Liverpool FC move – report
Adrien Rabiot favours a move to Liverpool FC ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, say reports
Adrien Rabiot has rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur because he favours a transfer to Liverpool FC, according to reports in France.
French website Paris United, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the 23-year-old does not want to join Tottenham and would rather link up with Jurgen Klopp’s table-toppers.
According to the same story, Rabiot has rejected a new contract at PSG and his future is now “up in the air”.
It is claimed in the same report that Tottenham were keen on a move to sign Rabiot, but the player himself is now “stalling” on a move to the north London club because he would rather join Liverpool FC.
The same story says that Rabiot has “always seen himself” playing for Liverpool FC should he ever secure a transfer to the Premier League.
Rabiot has found his first team opportunities at PSG to be limited this season, with the defensive midfielder having scored one goal and made one assist in 14 Ligue 1 games.
Liverpool FC are yet to make any new signings this month as Klopp considers bolstering his squad before Thursday’s deadline.
The Reds are currently leading the way at the top of the Premier League table and are four points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.
