Liverpool FC make late attempt to sign Chelsea FC teenager – report
Liverpool FC are ready to rival Bayern Munich for the signing of Chelsea FC teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to a report
Liverpool FC have made a late attempt to sign Bayern Munich target Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea FC, according to a report in Germany.
German media outlet Sport Bild is reporting that the Reds have launched a late attempt to sign the 18-year-old forward.
The same article states that Hudson-Odoi and his brother met with Liverpool FC representatives at the start of January to discuss a potential deal.
According to the same story, the Chelsea FC teenager has already turned down a £70,000-a-week contract offer from the west London outfit.
Bayern have reportedly made a number of offers for Hudson-Odoi before the Bundesliga champions met Chelsea FC’s £35m asking price.
The England Under-19 international has little over 18 months left to run on his current deal at the Stamford Bridge side.
Chelsea FC will be loathe to lose a promising talent to one of their domestic or European rivals.
Maurizio Sarri has given Hudson-Odoi a number of chances to shine in the Chelsea FC team over the past few months.
Hudson-Odoi has made three substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
The 18-year-old has made four appearances in domestic cup competitions, while Hudson-Odoi has scored one goal and has made one assist in two Europa League appearances.
