Liverpool FC have no interest in a re-signing FC Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho, according to a report in England.

The Telegraph, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Merseyside outfit have no interest in a swoop to sign the Brazil international.

The same article states that Coutinho is growingly increasingly discontent with his situation at FC Barcelona following an underwhelming 2018-19 campaign.

According to the same story, Liverpool FC would prefer to discover some new talent rather than revert back to the 26-year-old playmaker.

Coutinho was a fans’ favourite during his five seasons at Liverpool FC after a return of 54 goals in 201 appearances in all competitions.

The South American forward handed in a transfer request to force through his move to FC Barcelona in January 2018 to link up with his ex-Reds team-mate Luis Suarez.

A report in Spain last week suggested that Liverpool FC’s bitter rivals Manchester United have been linked with a swoop to sign the FC Barcelona star.

Coutinho has only started 10 times in 22 games in La Liga this season, while the Brazilian has made a further seven appearances from the bench.

The South American has only netted 16 goals in 47 games in all competitions for FC Barcelona since his move big-money move to Camp Nou.

Liverpool FC have reached the Champions League final and have managed to secure top spot in the Premier League since Coutinho’s departure.
