Ryan Giggs sends Man United message to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Ryan Giggs praises Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the impact he has had at Man United
Ryan Giggs has credited Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with bringing the “buzz” back to Manchester United.
The Red Devils have made a brilliant start to life under the Norwegian after he was brought in as Jose Mourinho’s replacement back in December.
Manchester United have won their first seven games in all competitions under the interim boss to haul themselves back into contention for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Indeed, Manchester United are currently sixth in the table and just three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea FC as they chase Champions League qualification for next season.
The Red Devils will switch their attentions back to FA Cup affairs when they travel to Arsenal in the fourth round on Friday night.
And Giggs, who himself took charge of Manchester United on an interim basis after David Moyes’ sacking back in 2014, has been hugely impressed by the impact his former team-mate has had at Old Trafford.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Giggs said: “Everyone is smiling at the moment. There’s a massive buzz around the place.
“We’re playing really good football – to get seven wins on the bounce takes a lot of doing no matter who you are.
“We’ve got to carry that momentum….there’s a long way to go, there will be bumps in the road but everyone is happy and smiling.”
Manchester United will be aiming to try and break back into the top four this season and also make it through to the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Red Devils will take on Paris Saint-Germain over two legs in the last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition, starting next month.
