Manchester United are ready to offer Marcus Rashford a new big-money deal at Old Trafford, say reports
Manchester United are prepared to offer Marcus Rashford a new contract worth as much as £150,000 a week, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are thinking about handing the striker a new deal worth around that amount, which would essentially double his wages at Old Trafford.
The same story says that Manchester United want to secure the future of the 21-year-old England international because he could be set to attract interest from some of Europe’s top clubs this summer.
Rashford’s current deal at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of next season, but Manchester United are likely to be keen to get the attacker to commit his immediate future to his boyhood club.
Manchester United do have the option to extend his current deal by a further year, but the same report says that the Red Devils want to get Rashford to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.
The story claims that the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus are two of Europe’s top clubs who are keen on landing the striker.
Rashford has been in good form for Manchester United this season and he has scored seven goals and made six assists in 19 Premier League games so far this term.
He scored the winner against Tottenham last weekend and will be expecting to feature when Manchester United host Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
