Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Man United v Brighton
The Liverpool FC legend believes Manchester United will win their sixth successive Premier League game on Saturday afternoon
Mark Lawrenson is tipping Manchester United to ease to a 3-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils have made an impressive start to life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the former Manchester United striker replaced Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford in December.
Solskjaer recorded his biggest win as Manchester United manager last weekend after the 20-time English champions were 1-0 winners against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
Marcus Rashford got on the score sheet with a first-half winner to net four times and make one assist in six games under the Norwegian head coach.
Brighton suffered a 1-0 loss to Premier League leaders Liverpool FC last weekend after Mohamed Salah scored from the spot in the second half.
The Seagulls have lost four times in their last six Premier League games on the road to leave Chris Hughton’s side eight points above the relegation zone.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is tipping Manchester United to secure a resounding 3-0 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
“Brighton have back-to-back games against Liverpool and Manchester United so this is a tough week for them – but even if they lose this game too, they already have points in the bank because of their form at the turn of the year,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“The Seagulls may have lost against Liverpool but they did make things difficult for the Reds, which is something they are good at.
“Chris Hughton’s side will have the same approach at Old Trafford but I don’t see it working – United are just flying at the moment.”
Manchester United are in sixth place in the Premier League table and level on point with Arsenal in fifth.
The Red Devils are six points behind Chelsea FC but the Blues will face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
