Chelsea FC are ready to pay up to £36m to sign Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes, 24, from Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg and are “on the brink” of signing him. They had previously bid £26.8m and £31.2m so far.
Manchester United will allow midfielder Marouane Fellaini, 31, to leave in a £15m deal this month, with AC Milan, Porto and Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande all interested.
