Arsenal line up bid for 24-year-old Belgian winger – report
Arsenal are interested in a deal to sign Genk winger Leandro Trossard in the summer transfer window, according to a report
Arsenal are set to make an offer for Genk winger Leandro Trossard in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
English website football.london is reporting that Arsenal are interested in the 24-year-old winger as Unai Emery looks to work within a tight budget in the summer.
The same article states that the Gunners made their interest in Trossard known in November but Arsenal were unable to launch a January bid given the financial constraints placed on Emery.
According to the same story, the north London side should have the funds in the summer to meet Genk’s £22m asking price for their homegrown talent.
The article goes on to suggest that Trossard would be interested in a potential move to the Emirates Stadium, but the winger will have to wait for the two clubs to agree to a fee.
Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg are also thought to be interested in the attacking talent, according to football.london.
Trossard has scored 10 goals in 18 games in the Juniper League to help Genk sit at the top of the standings in the Belgian top flight.
The Belgium Under-21 international has also netted two goals and has made one assist in four appearances in the Europa League so far this season.
