Arsenal want to sign 23-year-old from PSG – report
Arsenal are keen on a deal to sign Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain, say reports
Arsenal want to sign Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express, as quoted by the Sun, is reporting that the north London side are keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old midfielder, who is out of contract at Parc des Princes at the end of the season.
According to the same story, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen to “lure” France international Rabiot to The Emirates as the Spanish boss gears up for his second season in charge of the Gunners.
The article also claims that the fact that Rabiot is set to be available on a free transfer will be “music to the ears” of Emery and his board.
Emery worked with Rabiot when the Spanish boss was in charge of PSG – but the story says that the Gunners are likely to face significant competition from a host of teams for his signature in the summer.
Rabiot has been limited to just 12 starts in Ligue 1 this season, and he has scored two goals and made one assist in the French top flight so far.
The same story credits the likes of Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur with an interest in signing Rabiot.
