Wojciech Szczesny was quick to send a message to Aaron Ramsey on Instagram after the Arsenal star confirmed that he will move to Juventus at the end of the season.

The Wales international has been widely linked with a move to the Serie A champions over the past few months after Arsenal removed a contract offer from the negotiating table.

The 28-year-old versatile midfielder ended the uncertainty surrounding his future by confirming his summer move to Juventus on social media on Monday night.

Ramsey has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Arsenal team in Unai Emery’s first season in charge of the Gunners.

The Arsenal star posted the below photo and wrote on his Instagram page:

“As you may have already heard, I have agreed a pre-contract with Juventus. I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive.

“You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I’ve encountered during my time at the club. It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in north London. Thank you.

“I will continue to give the team 100% and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin.”

Ramsey will link up with former Arsenal goalkeeper Szczesny at the Serie A champions in the summer transfer window.

The Poland international was team-mates with Ramsey for six seasons before Szczesny moved to AS Roma on loan in 2015 before a permanent switch to Juve in 2017.

And the ex-Gunners star joked that he deserved a commission after Ramsey confirmed his future transfer to Juventus from the north London side.

Szczesny posted in the comments section under Ramsey’s post:

“Welcome to Juve family! Get yourself ready for hard work. The next few years is all about winning! PS. what’s my commission!”

The Juventus shot stopper went on to dedicate the below Instagram post to the club’s new signing.

Szczesny wrote on Instagram: “Looking forward to @aaronramsey joining @juventus ⚪️⚫️ Great guy and a top player! 🔝🔝🔝”

Arsenal are in fifth place in the Premier League table after a challenging first season under Emery.
