Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v Bournemouth
The Liverpool FC legend believes Arsenal will continue their winning when they host Bournemouth on Wednesday night
Michael Owen is backing Alexandre Lacazette to fire Arsenal to victory over Bournemouth to extend their winning run at The Emirates on Wednesday night.
The Gunners have beaten Cardiff City and Fulham in their last two Premier League games to hoist themselves into fourth spot.
Arsenal have won four of their last five Premier League games to put together a decent run of form ahead of the season’s conclusion.
The north London side were 2-0 winners against Southampton at The Emirates last weekend thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Bournemouth have only managed to win three of their last 10 games on the road in the Premier League.
In fact, the Cherries have lost six successive away fixtures to undermine their good home form.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen believes Arsenal striker Lacazette will help the Gunners ease to a straightforward victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
“Alexandre Lacazette has scored in his last four Premier League games for Arsenal and I feel it might be worth following the French striker when Bournemouth are the visitors to the Emirates on Tuesday,” Owen told BetVictor.
“The Cherries had to settle for a point, having missed a late penalty, against Wolves at the weekend, but the Gunners are so clinical in this type of fixture – at home against non ‘big-six’ opposition.”
Arsenal signed Spanish midfielder Denis Suarez in a loan deal from La Liga outfit FC Barcelona in the January transfer window.
The Gunners haven’t finished in the top four in the last two Premier League seasons under Arsene Wenger.
Emery took over the reins from Wenger in the summer after Arsenal finished in sixth spot in the Premier League last term.
Arsenal will take on Rennes in the Europa League round of 16.
