Chelsea FC are considering a move to sign Chelsea FC interested in signing Cengiz Under from AS Roma if Eden Hazard leaves this summer, according to reports in the Turkish media.
Turkish Football, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the Blues have “earmarked” the 21-year-old as a potential replacement for Hazard should the 28-year-old leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
The same report says that Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Under, who joined Roma for £12m from Turkish side Basaksehir in 2017.
Under is under contract at Roma until 2022 but according to the same report, the Italian side could be open to selling him this summer for a fee of at least £44m.
The same story says that Chelsea FC could launch a move for Under if Hazard “does the expected” and signs for Real Madrid this summer.
Under has been in decent form for AS Roma this season, scoring three goals and making five assists in 18 Serie A games for the Italian outfit.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their League Cup final showdown against Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The west London side are currently sixth in the Premier League table as they seek Champions League qualification.
