Cesar Azpilicueta has issued a Chelsea FC rallying cry as they look to turn around their stuttering form under Maurizio Sarri.

The Blues were dumped out of the FA Cup on Monday night when they suffered a comprehensive 2-0 defeat by Manchester United in the fifth round at Stamford Bridge.

That result came just over a week after they were thrashed 6-0 by Manchester City in the Premier League to leave their hopes of a top-four finish in doubt.

Chelsea FC have lost three of their last four games in the Premier League to leave them in sixth place in the table and with Sarri under intense pressure.

The west London side will attempt to get back to winning ways on Thursday night when they host Malmo in the Europa League, before turning their attentions towards their crunch clash with Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday afternoon.

And Chelsea FC defender Azpilicueta is backing the Blues to get themselves back on track.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Azpilicueta said: “Obviously it [the loss to Man United] was a tough night for everyone.

“We know the fans support us in every moment. At Chelsea we are used to winning a lot of trophies and we have been the most successful team in England for the last couple of years. So the only thing I can say is that we will give everything and work hard.

“We know we have the Europa League game coming up on Thursday. We will then play a final when we are back at Wembley after the FA Cup final last year and the Community Shield.

“We are used to fighting for trophies so hopefully we can keep calm from Thursday and then win that trophy on Sunday.”

Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season and won the FA Cup under Antonio Conte, before Sarri was brought in as their new boss last summer.
