The London Evening Standard is reporting that the Blues are interested in the former Paris Saint-Germain manager as a potential option to replace Sarri.
The same article states that Blanc was on a shortlist of candidates to replace Antonio Conte last summer but the Blues opted to go for the Italian coach.
According to the same story, the World Cup winner has attended a number of the west London side’s games over the past few seasons.
The Evening Standard reported that Sarri would be given some more time to turn around Chelsea FC’s fortunes after a difficult run of results.
However, the former Napoli boss is facing a battle to save his job given their run of poor results against Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
The story adds that Blanc would only consider taking over the reins at Chelsea FC on a permanent basis and not as caretaker manager.
Chelsea FC are in sixth place in the Premier League table following a 6-0 loss to defending champions Manchester City in their last top-flight fixture.
The Blues suffered a 2-0 defeat by Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge earlier this week.
