German newspaper Bild, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Blues have identified the 21-year-old as one of their top targets for the summer transfer window.
The same report says that the Serbian attacker is also being monitored by a number of other top European clubs, including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Jovic is currently on loan at Frankfurt from Benfica and it is claimed in the same story that the German club will take up their option to buy the forward in the summer on a permanent deal.
However, the same story says that Chelsea FC have made signing the young forward their priority this summer as they begin to think about bolstering their squad ahead of next season.
The same article says that Jovic’s representative, Fali Ramadani, is currently in talks with Frankfurt to discuss potential options for his client at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are preparing for their FA Cup fifth-round clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
The Blues currently find themselves in sixth place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification.
