Michael Owen states his prediction for Fulham v Man United
The Liverpool FC legend believes Manchester United will ease to a comfortable win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday
Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to extend their unbeaten run under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a comfortable win over Fulham on Saturday.
Manchester United have made a great start to life under the Norwegian manager and their impressive form shows no signs of stopping.
The Red Devils were 1-0 winners against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last weekend thanks to Marcus Rashford’s winner.
Manchester United have the opportunity to hoist themselves into the Premier League’s top four if the Reds beat Fulham.
Chelsea FC aren’t in action until Sunday and Maurizio Sarri’s side will take on defending champions Manchester City at The Etihad.
Former Manchester United striker Owen is backing Manchester United to ease to a comfortable win against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
“Manchester United have won their last five away games in all competitions and I feel they will extend that impressive recent record at Craven Cottage against a Fulham side who continue to leak goals,” Owen told BetVictor.
“The Cottagers did score four unanswered goals in the second half of their last home game with Brighton, but they are unlikely to find this new-look United side in as generous a mood.
“United have won four more points than any other side in the division since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge at Old Trafford and it is hard to see past another win for the Norwegian and his burgeoning side.”
Manchester United were 4-1 winners against Fulham at Old Trafford in December to record their final victory under Solskjaer’s predecessor Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils have won five of their last six games against the Cottagers and have only dropped points in a 2-2 draw with the west London side in February 2014.
Solskjaer’s side have won eight of their nine league games under the Norwegian coach and Burnley are the only team to deny Manchester United a win under Solskjaer.
