Fabinho has underlined the importance of Liverpool FC beating Bournemouth in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

The Reds will welcome Eddie Howe’s side to Anfield in pursuit of their first Premier League victory in three outings.

Liverpool FC have seen their title challenge stall over the past few weeks following successive stalemates with Leicester City and West Ham.

Indeed, Jurgen Klopp’s side had the chance to move seven points clear of Manchester City if the Reds had managed to beat the Foxes rather than drop two points.

Their failure to beat West Ham has left the door ajar for both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to put the pressure on the leaders with 13 games to go.

Summer signing Fabinho underlined the importance of Liverpool FC returning to winning ways against Bournemouth at Anfield this weekend.

“Beating Bournemouth is important to continue with a three-point gap at the top of the table. Now we only look at the next game and that is against Bournemouth,” Fabinho told ESPN.

“Then there will be a run of difficult games, but we will get some players back from injury and the manager will have more options to choose for those games.”

Liverpool FC signed Fabinho in a £40m deal from AS Monaco in the 2018 summer transfer window to finally move to the Premier League.

Fabinho made a slow start to his Anfield career but the Brazil international has excelled in the Liverpool FC team over the past couple of months.

For all the negativity surrounding Liverpool FC’s two-game winless run, the Reds have only lost once in the Premier League this season.

Manchester City were 2-1 winners against Liverpool FC at the start of January to end the Merseyside outfit’s unbeaten start to the season.
