James Milner raves about Liverpool FC trio after 3-0 win
The Liverpool FC star felt Jurgen Klopp's front three were unstoppable at the weekend
James Milner has heaped praise on Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah after Liverpool FC’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds were eager to make a return to winning ways following successive 1-1 draws with Leicester City and West Ham United.
Sadio Mane scored in his fourth consecutive game and broke the deadlock in his third successive fixture in the 24th minute to settle nerves at Anfield.
Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum netted a brilliant individual effort to double their advantage in the first half.
Salah completed a superb team move that involved Naby Keita and Firmino to put the result beyond doubt in the 48th minute at Anfield.
Firmino, Mane and Salah produced one of their most fluid performances in recent games to help Liverpool FC thrash Bournemouth.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website about the trio’s performance, Milner claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s front three are impossible to defend:
“The front three were brilliant all day. Some of their link-up play was impossible to defend: the movement, the understanding, the one-touch play.
“Probably the only disappointing thing is we didn’t score more. But we’re pleased to get a clean sheet and to get the three points was the main thing, obviously.”
Liverpool FC will take on Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash on Tuesday 19 February.
The Merseyside outfit will follow up the European clash with a trip to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday 24 February.
Liverpool FC are sitting in second place in the Premier League and level on points with Manchester City but having played one game less than Pep Guardiola’s side.
